2010 World University Baseball Championships to be in Tokyo!

Just found out that next year, Tokyo will host the 2010 World University Baseball Championships. Not much info available yet, but the games will be held between July 29th and August 8th and feature 12 teams. This will be the 5th edition of the tournament and the USA has won the past 3 gold medals. Interesting to see that Ryan Zimmerman, now of the Washington Nationals and J.P. Arencibia, next year's Blue Jays catcher, are past MVPs. Japan has finished second on two occasions, so they'll be looking for home advantage to put them over the top.

Not sure I'll be in Tokyo at that time, but if I am, you can bet I'll be going to most of these games.

Best,

Sean
