NFL Playoff Picture - Week 14

Another week, another senseless death of an NFL player. People naturally equate the two cases, saying that neither alcohol nor guns can kill someone unless used recklessly. Actually, most accidental gun-related deaths result from the reckless use of the firearm, but the proper use of guns also results in dead people, it's just intentional as in the Jovan Belcher case. Alcohol, on the other hand, is not designed to kill. Yes, some people abuse it and kill others while driving, but we have laws (that are not strict enough yet) to try to prevent these people from drinking and driving. There are no laws against putting a gun on a dashboard in front of your kid.

BTW, if you do drink and drive because you think it will never happen to you; it will happen to you eventually. Just stop it. Drink at home, or have a coke at the bar.

On to the playoff picture:
