Green Bay beat Seattle back in Week 2 to take the fifth seed. Note that Atlanta and the Giants dropped out from Week 11 but the playoff teams were the same from Week 12 on, and in fact, in the same order as in Week 12.

Oh, those poor Jets. Two losses to Buffalo (both by 22-17 scores) hurt, but it was their loss to Oakland that really killed them in the common games tiebreaker. Meanwhile, Denver beat both New England and Cincinnati during the regular season to take the top seed. The Pats get second on the basis of their record in common games, with the Bengals loss to Houston the main difference. Only the Colts fell out of the playoffs from Week 11, though the Jets and Steelers kept leapfrogging each other during that time.

Looks like all four wild card games will have the road team favoured. I'll predict a KC-Arizona Super Bowl just because I saw those two teams on the same day a couple of weeks ago.
