The NHL playoffs start tomorrow and once again, I am here to tell you which team will not win the Cup based on season series. Every year, the team that would win based on season series records does not. Of course, predicting one team not to win is easy, but still, this method has worked for over a decade now. Below are the results based on what happened in the regular season meetings between the two clubs:

Not surprisingly, Colorado are the Cup favourites. But according to this method, the Avalanche will lose. Carolina has the second highest chance to win the Cup and the East was much stronger than the West, so I think Colorado are overrated. Thus, I will pick the Hurricanes to win it all. Not that I'll be watching much as none of the streaming services I use carry the NHL.
